Photovoltaic system @ Hotel Natürlich in Fiss, Tirol

On June 13th, 2021 we put our 20kWp photovoltaic system into operation. According to calculations, this system should pay for itself in 6-7 years. Since the sun's rays are very good in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis, we can generate more than 27,000 kWh of electrical energy in one year. We use around 150,000kWh of "electricity" in the hotel every year. 

With the self-generated energy, 5-6 average 4-person households (2 adults and 2 children) could be completely supplied with electricity for a year. This means we can generate around 15% of our electricity needs ourselves.

We feed almost 3800kWh into the power grid. Since the hotel cannot use all of the generated electricity directly during the day. We will be able to change this in the future with charging electric cars. These 3800kWh correspond to a range of approx. 21,000km for an electric car with a consumption of 18kWh/100km (empirical value with a Tesla Model Y including charging losses)
